Many dog trainers the world over would have you believe that by playing tug with your dog that you are teaching it to be dominant. This is simply not true. Tug is a fantastic game to play with your dog because your dog enjoys it, it releases pent up energy and can be a wonderful exercise in leadership provided a few rules are followed.
