One of the most important things you can teach your puppy is bite inhibition. Bite inhibition means the dog controls the intensity of his bite. An adult with good bite inhibition will not cause serious injury if he is ever put in a position where he feels he must bite. The process of learning this skill takes place very early and over a period of weeks. All puppies must absolutely learn this skill before 18 weeks of age.
