URBAN BASICS COURSE DESCRIPTION
This 6 week beginner's course is ideal for older puppies and dogs that are new to training or alternatively may know a few commands to varying degrees of reliability. Class sizes are small to 
allow for individual attention. No prior training knowledge is required on either the part of the owner or dog. To get the full benefits of the course, practicing at home during the week is vital.
An added benefit of attending a group class with your dog is socialising them to other dogs and people in a safe and secure environment. This is vital to ensure a well adjusted, calm, happy dog.
Preventing common problems such as Jumping Up, Chewing, Attention-Seeking, Hyperactivity and Digging are also addressed during this course.
Note: If your dog behaves aggressively in the presence of other dogs please enrol into our Reactive Dog course instead.
CLASSES OUTLINE:
This course covers the following:
- Canine Learning and Communication
- Principles of Dog Training
- Attention (getting your dog's attention)
- Sit
- Drop
- Loose Lead Walking (getting your dog to walk without pulling on the lead)
- Stay
- Recall (getting your dog to come when called)
- Mat Training (teaching your dog to go to a mat)
- Leave It
- Give (Getting your dog to release something in his/her mouth)

- Homework Sheets

Course Cost
The cost of this 6-week course is $325.00 including GST.
