Please bring the following with you to Adolescent Play Group:
- Your dog - must be wearing a buckle or clip collar

- Current vaccination certificate - see note below

Note: Please understand that we cannot allow your dog to join Play Group without sighting your current vaccination certificate. This is for the health and safety of all the dogs involved. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this.
All dogs over 7 months of age must be de-sexed to be permitted into Adolescent Play Group - no exceptions.
Please DO NOT bring any of the following:

- Any dog other than your dog - this includes other family dogs and friend's dogs
- Balls, Toys, Kongs etc
- Any dog that is injured, ill or suffering from an infectious disease
- Children under 7 years of age - unless you have another adult dedicated to their supervision and are happy for them to remain outside the fenced play area.
- Any dog known to display aggression to humans or dogs
- Doggy clothing - this restricts your dog and can be snagged by a tooth during play
SUPERVISION OF YOUR DOG
The safety of the dogs is paramount to us, therefore:
- You are responsible to supervise your dog's activities at all times. You must remain in close proximity to your dog. Each puppy must have an adult (over 18 years of age) dedicated to their supervision.
- You are legally responsible for your dog's behaviour at all times and for any injuries which may be caused by your dog.
- Dogs that become overly excited/aroused, excessively rough in play, engage in bullying behaviour or show inappropriate behaviours should be interrupted immediately and/or taken for a "time out" away from the play area - in the crates or playpens provided.
- You must always have your dog's leash in your possession. This ensures that dogs can be quickly secured and/or restrained in the event of a problem.
- All dogs should be wearing a normal buckle or clip collar. No choke chains, prong collars, electric shock or citronella collars are permitted. Harnesses must be removed prior to play.
- Urban Dog Training reserves the right to decline any dog's participation in play group, especially if their behaviour is anti-social. We aim for all dogs involved to have positive play experiences.
CHILDREN AT ADOLESCENT PLAY GROUP
At Urban Dog Training we are committed to child safety around dogs.
Children under 7 years of age are not permitted inside the fenced area at Adolescent Play Group. If bringing along children less than 7 years of age please bring along another adult to supervise your children outside of the puppy play area.
We welcome children aged 7-15 years into the fenced area and encourage them to participate, however they should be accompanied by another adult (over 18 years of age) dedicated to their supervision. It is impossible to supervise both children and a dog at puppy play group.
We are committed to child safety around dogs and will instruct your children on how to safely interact with dogs. However, there are important safety considerations that must be adhered to for the benefit of your child/ren and the dogs attending:
- Please ensure your child does not approach the dogs in Play Group unless supervised by an Urban Dog Training instructor. Some dogs are not accustomed to being around children and can react adversely, causing stress or injury to the child and/or the dog.
- Please do not bring along any children that are afraid of dogs. Please understand that adolescent dogs WILL nip and jump up on children.
- Children must not scream, yell or run around the dogs. They must not pick up, hug, hit, chase or tease any of the dogs, including their own. Any children doing so will be asked to leave the area immediately.
- Please do not bring along toys for your children (including balls, bikes, rollerblades etc). Dogs can quickly become over-excited and bites or injuries may occur. Children who wish to play may do so outside the fenced area.
There are benches, picnic tables and children's play equipment just outside the fenced areas where family members who don't meet age restrictions may ‘hang out' and enjoy watching the dogs play.
Please understand that we cannot make exceptions to the above.
WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS
Adolescent Play Group will not be held in inclement weather. Please check our website if you are unsure whether or not Adolescent Play Group will be held. We will post a notice on this page in the event that adolescent play group needs to be cancelled due to weather.
Please do not telephone us to see if Adolescent Play Group has been cancelled as we are often unable to take calls on a Sunday due to our training commitments.
